CLICK HERE FOR GLEE COSTUME LIST & IMAGES With just days to go we hope you are looking forward to getting started on rehearsals. Rehearsals will take place at the Customs House in the Community Room (unless specified) and you should pay attention to the Rehearsal Schedule below to make sure you know when you are required to attend. If you fail to attend you might find you are not put into any numbers or scenes set in your absence and in some cases parts maybe recast.
CLOTHING & GROOMING You should make sure you wear appropriate clothing and footwear to rehearse in. Jogging bottoms and T-shirts are ideal, clothing and footwear should NOT restrict your movement in any way. Girls with long hair and swooping fringes should ensure they are tied back and clipped out of the way during rehearsals. We need to be able to see your face at all times. Remember the rehearsal room is a place of work. PREPARATION At this stage we expect you to have read through the full script and familiarised yourself with all of the music. On Monday 16th we will begin with a full cast read through and then begin working on each choirs musical numbers. AUGUST
TOOL KIT You will need your ‘Performers Tool Kit’ with you at EVERY rehearsal and performance. Your tool kit should consist of:
FIRST TIMER If you have never been involved with our Summer project before, be prepared for hard work as staging a full scale production from scratch in just three weeks is a big challenge. As a Production Team we have very high expectations and will ask you to give full concentration, focus, commitment and effort. This will include you having to spend time at home learning lines, movement and lyric overnight – for three weeks you must live, breathe and sleep FAME! The more you put into the project the more you will get out of it, and we are positive you will find your contribution a very rewarding experience.
TICKETS There would be little point in staging a production if we had no one to perform it to, so make sure you tell all your friends and families to book and come see you. Tickets are on sale now priced £6/£5 Concession and a £20 Family ticket. Tickets can be booked in person, online or by telephoning the Box Office on 0191 454 1234.
PARTICIPATION FEE Some of you have still not paid your deposit, so please make sure you do this. Remember all monies should be paid in full on the first day of rehearsals. Failure to do this may result in your exclusion from the project. All payments should be made at Box Office.
You must complete fully the Cast Details form which will be sent to you this week and return it to us on Saturday. This is very important as we will use this information in case of an emergency.
