Money raised to date
So far we have raised juts over £5,000 and the Committee would like to say a big thank you to all parents and pupils for their hard work and generosity. However, we still have a long way to go and have a lot of fundraising events going over the next few months, they are as follows:-

Stars in Their Eyes – This event is taking place at The Sundial on Friday 12th February at 7 pm. The tickets are £3.00 each and can be bought from David at registration. There will be an award for the best act, which will be adjudicated by the audience.

Race Night – After a successful night back in October we have decided to have another Race Night. Again this will be held at The Sundial on Friday March 19th at 7pm. The tickets are £3.00 and can be bought from David at registration. Tickets can also be bought on the door. Again there will be raffles and other fundraising activities throughout the night. This was a great night had by all so if you missed out last time be sure to purchase your ticket to guarantee a brilliant night.

Adult Cabaret Night – 7.30pm Friday 23rd April at Westoe Rugby Club tickets £10.00 each and will be available from David at registration. Performing that night will be Hypnotist, Kevin Starr and Top North East Comedienne Sue Sweeney from BBC Radio Newcastle. This event is strictly for adults only so parents/carers why not ask your friends to come along and bring a group along to what will be a very funny night!!
Donations
We still need donations of any kind to be used as prizes at our fundraising events, i.e. for raffles, hampers, auctions etc. If you have anything you would like to donate please bring it along with you at registration.
Are there any pupils and associates that perhaps have their own contacts and local businesses who could offer bigger prizes (facials, beauty treatments, vouchers etc)
Unwanted/Old Mobile Phones
There will be a box at registration for anyone with an old/unwanted mobile phone that they would like to donate. There is a company called Envirofone who pay cash for sending your old mobile phone to them. If possible please supply the original charger as well.
Other ideas
If anyone would like to organise their own independent sponsored activity, for example, sponsored sleepover, sponsored silence, please see David and he will provide you with the appropriate sponsor form.
There will be ongoing cake/biscuit sales at classes for anyone who would like to contribute to the event.
If any business would like to sponsor the show we will feature their company logo on promotional flyers/posters and mention the company in any press coverage.
If you have any other fundraising ideas or would like to sponsor or donate a prize please contact the fundraising committee.
Beauty and the Beast
We are looking for volunteers to work closely with David to support and manage the production. If you are interested in putting yourselves forward then please speak to David. We are looking for the following:-
Stage Crew – to assist backstage during the show with scenery changes. You should be available for all 4 shows (10th – 12th June) as well as Wednesday 9th throughout the day and evening to get the set in, fit it up and the tech and dress run.
Props – we need 2 or 3 people who have some time to source, make, beg, borrow or steal any props for the show. You will be responsible to look after and account for these during rehearsals and performances.
Costumes - are there any parents/carers/grandparents that can assist and take responsibility for the making, designing and ordering of costumes. Is there someone who is handy with a sewing machine?
Chaperones – preferably CRB checked to monitor and support the cast backstage and in the dressing areas during the shows.
Tickets
Tickets for the show are now on sale, and flyers/posters are available too to help promote the production. Remember if you quote ‘DAVID’ when booking you can purchase your tickets at the Concessionary price. BOOKING LINE 0191 454 1234.
